This screen allows you to set a variety of options that will be used by MacPassword™. The first one, “MacPassword™ ON”, allows you to enable MacPassword™ and have access to all the other options. Make sure this checkbox is checked or you won't be able to work with any of the other options.
Next, decide whether you want the animated Startup icon to be displayed when you restart. If so, then check the box labeled “Show Icon at Startup”.
Now, decide if you want to allow others to logon to your system as a guest. I recommend you leave this off until you've read through the manual to fully understand what a “Guest” will have access to.
The checkbox labeled “Lock Protected Volumes” will perform a software lock on each volume that has protected folders on it during Shutdown. This option is only available to registered owners.
The “High Security” checkbox represents the maximum level of protection available with MacPassword™. When checked, it provides AppleShare™-like security to your volumes when a guest is logged on. This option is only available to registered owners.
Finally, there is a button at the bottom labeled “Change Password”. Clicking on this button will present a dialog that allows you to change the password that allows you access to you volume and this utility.
Click on one of the buttons at the top (where you found this help button) to move to another screen of options.
